I'm a designer. I've spent years studying how clothes are made, why they fit the way they do, and what separates something that lasts from something that doesn't. That background is both a gift and a problem. Because once you understand construction, you can't unsee bad fit. And bad fit is everywhere.
That was the real frustration. Not just the waste, not just the noise of the industry. But the fact that so much clothing exists and so little of it actually fits the way it should. I'd find a beautiful vintage piece with perfect fabric, perfect bones, and it would be an inch off. Or I'd see a pre-made garment with real potential, sitting in a bin, going nowhere.
So I started reworking them. Taking pre-existing clothing (vintage finds, deadstock, pieces with good material and bad execution) and rebuilding them into something that fits properly and feels considered. Every upcycled piece we make is one of a kind. Cut, altered, and finished in-house in Toronto. No two are the same.
That work sits alongside our curated edit of vintage designer pieces and independent brands we believe in: labels that are doing things carefully, on their own terms. The through-line across all of it is the same. Nothing here is arbitrary. Every piece was chosen or made for a reason.
